Hawaii has always been the perfect getaway most specially for those that are looking for some surf, sun, adventure, tropical weather and romance. Unfortunately when one plans of travelling to the United States of America they only think of the mainland destinations such as Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Boston and Chicago amongst others.

Hawaii is one of the most beautiful states of the United States of America. It is unique because it’s the only state with a tropical climate and an “Island” atmosphere. Only San Diego and Orange County in Southern California come close.

Hawaii is nicknamed the Aloha State. It was admitted as the 50^th state of the United States in 1959. From having an agricultural industry with crops such as coconut, pineapples, taro, sweet potato, banana and nuts, its now emerged as one of the top draws for tourism in the world.

It has in the upwards of 50 beaches, each having its own distinctive personality and several waterfalls. A drive in Kauai is a must with its engaging scenic routes all around the island.

For the adventurers both on and off the water, you have excellent diving, snorkelling and all kinds of water sports combined with hiking trails, plantation tours, museums and the highly recommended Waimea Canyon tour.

Oahu Island also known as the “Heart of Hawaii” is where Honolulu is. It is the capital of the Hawaii. It is the gateway to the other islands as well and most flight are routed through its world class and tourism friendly International Airport.

It is Home to Waikiki, one of the finest beachfront community in the world. Once the home of luxurious estates it has now been replaced by numerous grand hotels ranging from Deluxe all the way up to a 6 star rating. Most lined up on the strip fronting its famous, mile-wide, fine white sand beach and others right on the beach. On most occasions Waikiki beach is simply packed with both locals and tourists from end to end.

Among its plentiful attractions are the historical walking tours of Waikiki, the International Marketplace, Kapi’olani Park and the War Memorial at Pearl Harbor.

Having caught the Travel Bug early in life, I learned that the best way to visit as many travel destinations as frequent and inexpensive as possible was to work for a tour company. This way you get to travel practically for free and best of all you get to learn interesting facts about the destination and the different types of accommodations. Thanks to all those familiarization tours, I was privileged to have frequented the different islands of Hawaii.

My most unforgettable trips so far and hands down was Hawaii. With it’s cool and breezy tropical climate and ever so romantic setting. Hawaii, aside from offering all the tourist and outdoor recreation, the shopping and restaurants, offers the best Sunset. The sunset combined with the tropical drinks such as the famous Hawaiian punch and other rum based drinks with the little umbrellas surely made Hawaii one memorable experience.

Surely Hawaii will leave its mark on you.

One literally falls in love with Hawaii and if you happen to travel with a friend or companion of the opposite sex. You may likewise fall in love with that person. It’s in the Hawaiian air and breeze. Make Hawaii your next travel destination.
